1. The seventh and last plague began in the form of the great earthquake of Rev.16. Revolution began in Russia in March, 1917 about twenty months before the war ended. We take note of the fact that the revolution began about 4 1/2 months after the change of our Pastor. Secular History
2. The Emperor of Russia was forced to abdicate March 15, 1917. He and all his immediate family were slain in July, 1918. This overthrow marked the end of the Romanov dynasty that had ruled Russia since 1613. It also meant that now two of the four great Church- State ruling houses of Continental Europe had gone forever. On November 2, 1917, the Balfour Declaration, a statement of British support for the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people, was made in the form of a letter from Arthur Balfour, the British Foreign Secretary, to Lord Rothschild, a leader of British Jews. This declaration was endorsed by the principal Allied powers and became an instrument of British and International policy. This declaration was the first step toward a Jewish State after 1914.
