ARTICLE 034 ISRAEL AND RESTITUTION

1. Since it was God that gathered His people back to Israel in 1948, what is to be expected along the lines of physical restitution in Israel?

2. "That blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in. And so all Israel shall be saved" (recovered from their blindness), Romans 11:25,26. "Not until all of the spirit-begotten ones shall have passed into death will the merit of Christ, placed on deposit in the hands of Justice when he died, and mortgaged in the interest of the church, be released from that mortgage and be ready for full application in the purchase of Adam and his race under the terms of the New Covenant", EF:11. It seems to us that these two quotations should tell us that we should not expect anything in the way of physical restitution in Israel or anywhere else "until all the spirit-begotten class shall have passed into death."
