1. The parallels between the Jewish age and the Gospel age follow the Nominal systems to destruction in both cases. They did not indicate the time for the glorification of the New Creation, nor did they apply to the gathering of the Lord's people out of Babylon. C150:1; R4842: Question (2) answer; BF12; R5950: 9-12
2. Antitype or parallel to year 73 A.D., in which the typical Church-State house (Judaism) was finally, fully destroyed at Masada, Israel on April 15, 73 A.D. R5950; Secular History Please see.
3. 1918 A.D. is the only date that will work as the end of the Gospel age parallel that follows the nominal systems to destruction. They (Babylon, Christendom) did go to destruction in 1918, as we hope to show as we go along. No date before 1918 will parallel any proper date for the destruction of the Church-State system of Judaism. No date after 1918 is 1845 years after Judaism was destroyed. For example, 1985 would parallel the year 140 A.D., and it is well established in Jewish and secular history that no Jewish Church-State system existed in Palestine in 140 A.D. or at any time afterward. For more information on how Judaism as a Church- State affair was a type of the millennial kingdom and how this kingdom was counterfeited by Babylon, please refer to C153:1; C167:1; C169:1,2; C170:1; C171:1; C217:1,2; R5950:9-12.
4. End of World War I
a. In September, Bulgaria sued for an
armistice, received it, and signed the
Armistice of Salonika on September 29. They
unreservedly accepted the terms dictated by
the Allied powers. Secular History
b. On October 30, Turkey, fearing an attack on
Istanbul, signed the "Armistice of Mudros"
on a British cruiser off Lemnos. Turkey
agreed to open its Straits to the Allies,
and among other things, agreed to demobilize
their forces and gave the Allies the use of
their ports and railways. Secular History
c. In Austria-Hungary, the situation was
drastic. Some of their forces were in
mutiny so they began suing for an armistice
in October. They, finally agreeing to
American terms, signed an Armistice near
Padova on November 3, 1918 to become
effective on Nov. 4. Austria-Hungary made
great concessions, giving up all the
territory they had occupied since August,
1914 and agreed to either expel or intern
all the Germans on her soil. Emperor
Charles, the last of the Habsburg dynasty to
rule over a Church-State Empire, renounced
the right to participate in Austrian affairs
on November 11 and to take effect in
Hungarian affairs on November 13. Not
waiting to put the later in effect, on
November 12, he fled the country for
sanctuary in Switzerland. Emperor Charles'
declaration (above) of November 11, 1918
marks the formal act of the dissolution of
the Habsburg monarchy. This makes now three
of the four Church-State ruling houses of
Continental Europe to be destroyed. Three
down and one to go. Secular History
d. Germany first sued for an armistice on
October 3. After an exchange of several
notes between the American and German
governments, Germany (with an open
revolution, mutiny, etc.) agreed to the
Allied terms. On November 11, 1918, the
Armistice was signed at Rethondes. Germany
made great concessions. The allies made few
if any concessions. The Armistice amounted
to surrender; the mutiny and revolution was
widespread, they had no choice. In the
meantime, Emperor William renounced both his
titles and on Nov. 10 took refuge in the
neutral Netherlands. This renouncement
brought an end to the war and also an end to
Christendom. SM404-411; Secular History
5. The end of the Church-State ruling houses of Europe. a. When Emperor William (know as Kaiser Bill) fled to Holland, the Hohenzollern dynasty rule over Germany ceased with that act. This now made a complete sweep; all four Church-State world empires of Continental Europe had ceased to exist, namely: the Russian Romanov house sanctioned as a kingdom of God by the Greek Catholic Church; the French Bourbon ruling house sanctioned by the Pope as a kingdom of God; the Austria- Hungarian Habsburg ruling house also sanctioned by the papacy as a Kingdom of God; the German Hohenzollern ruling house sanctioned as a Kingdom of God by the Lutheran Church. These all came to an end, not by the demands of the Allied Armies, but by internal revolution and anarchy. R2151:8,9,12,13; R5564:3-15; R5626:7; R5854:2; Secular History
b. As we have just seen and as shown by Article 033:2, the "Toes" of Nebuchadnezzar's Image had by November 11, 1918, ceased to be counterfeit kingdoms of God. Babylon (False Christendom)-as of this date is non-existent forever. The "Toes" will not grow back - "Affliction will not rise up the second time", Nah.1:9. Secular History
