1. "Sanctify them through thy truth; thy word is truth", John 17:17. All truth stems from the Bible, the word of God; all our spiritual needs are filled by our Lord, the Apostles and the Prophets. There were only twelve Apostles of the Lamb and they were the twelve foundations of the Church. These Apostles had no successors. 2Cor.11:13,14; Eph.2:20,21; Gal.1:8,9; Heb.1:1,2; Isa.8:20; John 8:31,32; John 18:37; 2Peter 1:20,21; Rev.21:9-11,14; Rev.21:19,20; 2Tim.3:16; A121:3; E207:1; F208-211,221:1,3; SM461:2-466
2. The truth is God's divine plan of the ages and all of its attendant doctrines. "This plan suggests a progression in the Divine arrangement foreknown to our God and orderly; the teachings of Divine revelation can be seen to be both beautiful and harmonious from this standpoint and from no other", A9. "Next to the Lord, the Truth is the most precious thing in all the world; it is not to be trifled with, not to be played with; and whoever is negligent along this line will himself sustain injury". Let us remember that the truth alone sanctifies, and that error, on the contrary, always tends to evil. E65:top. F264:top. 2Thess.2:10,11; F138:middle; R5535:7,13
